United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey
Freelander Biography

I don't know if any one has thought of doing this on here, but on the other forums I am involved with my Astra, we do car Biographies to show what has been done, experiences and general life with the car.

I would like to hear what people have done and been through with their cars. They always make for interesting reading and gives ideas for modifications or fault cures that people have found.

Who's up for doing one? Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Nice write up! It's also worth while adding a few pictures as well.

Here is the link to my Astra Biography. It gives an idea of how they are done to make people take an interest. I admit, some don't care less but there are a few that are interested.

Shocked

That is one hell of a write up, congratulations on that and the result of your hard work.
It looks stunning.

Can't believe you found enough hours in the day to put in that amount of time, I would also be too impatient and want to see the finished product at the end of the week Laughing

Thumbs Up

Nice one wizking, get a few photos up to pan it out a little, I haven't enough history on mine to put together two sentences Embarassed

mine does a look a little short and sweet after your extensive one about a red skip Whistle

so I shall add a few points kept my fl2 for 3.5 years had new wheels/tyres at 13000 (sold part worns on ebay), these tyres lasted till 30000 just before sale.
new rear brake disc pads and handbrake shoes at 29,000
nothing else to report except car went in for the heater recall 10mth after purchase

Mrs G reversed it into something or other so i gort the rear bumper corner smart repair ( £40 mates rates) and invisible.

bent a few bits and bobs underneath whilst showing the cowardly disco's how to take on a swampy forest track in Keilder forest. fustrating drive that as the discos kept stopping and I kept loosing momentum Evil or Very Mad

Holy sheet! Mav, nice work. Not sure I would put all that effort into an Astra, but it looks pretty sweet Smile You obviously like your cars and treat them very well. Also, looking at how often you clean them and how organised everything is, you are obviously a bit OCD. Thumbs Up

My bio for my car will be tiny. Smile 1st time FL2 owner. 2007 SE i6 in Tambora Flame.

I bought a freelander 2 SE and took it back to the dealers 22 times in 2.5 years

I swapped it to a Freelander 2 HSE Auto and that was better for the first 2.5 years then had a couple of issues, but nothing too major as warranty covered them

I put on mud flaps and colour coded handles and washed and polished it a couple of times

The end until i swap

Just can't compete with Mav71's Shocked

I have always had a soft spot for the Vauxhall Astra, I had a MK2 SRi as my first car when I was 17 and have always had one on and off ever since.

to be fair, the write up on the Astra has been done bit by bit snce June 2010 so it is not alot of work to keep up to date.

The Astra is purely a summer play thing, something for me to mess about with! But it is also a total waste of money, but as the Mrs says, it keeps me busy and it's a hobby.

My friend thinks nothing of spending £500 of a Golf club! I think he is insane, but he loves his golf so who am I to judge!

Many people slate Vauxhall's, but to be honest I have always had a Vauxhall in the family since 1991 and never have they been unreliable.

Now the two Audi's that I have had................Lets not go there! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

what about an autobiography Razz pretending to be the car When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car
