2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Santorini Black

well when i got up at 5am this morning it was -6 and the ice was thick so it took around 5 minutes for the car to defrost on the programme mode and about 5 minutes of driving before i was toasty, diesels take longer to heat up as apose to a petrol which gets hot quickly, reving it at 2000rpm is ok but neighbours won't be happy Rolling with laughter When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car

If your car has a heated screen I'm certain that to thaw it it is quicker to not press program, but to just press the heated screen button.

If you press program the car blasts cold air, (below freezing if that's what the ambient temp is) at the screen, meaning the screen elements are working against the ice and a cold wind Thumbs Up Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

That makes a lot of sense..Just sat in it and its 4 degrees outside and took 11 mins for any warm air to come through at idle..Think i will just keep it on auto from now on..

Heat comes out the vents after only 2 minutes since starting. I was surprised, it warms up quicker than my Audi did. Shocked
