Travelled for two hours this morning, all in sub zero temps and duly arrived at the M6 toll booth only to find the drivers window frozen solid So there I sat, cant get the window down, cant get the door open as I was too close, couldn't get far enough forward to reach through gap as bonnet too high to go under the barrier, you get the idea, it felt like half of Britain was behind me cursing

i use a silicone on the rubbers of my doors to prevent icing up, maybe a silicone spray in the window sliders |

take the un-used LR bike and other stuff out of the garage and park your car in it At work

"Bottom" recommended this stuff back in Dec 2010, when someone else had the same problem. I got some and coated all rubber seals with it. Great stuff.

i just have the the Air Con set to blast warm air, plus all rubbers treated with 303 Aerospace |

odd isnt it I searched for a nice xmas QR code and the best one was from Basinstoke my samsung phone cant read it from my avatur so either you have a better phone or a better screen?

There's a special dry powder lubricant that they use for awning rails on caravans to make the awning slip. I use that as it doesn't contaminate the glass or the beading but it adheres to the rubber and stops the water freezing to the beading and the glass. Ralph

Odd that it hadn't melted from the heat of inside the car by then. Do you have the temperature/fan set low?

Sadly still had to pay, although reimbursed so no loss, a young lady in a flo jacket rescued me
