United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Zermatt Silver
19" Shadow Chrome wheels and tyres

I am selling four 19” shadow chrome freelander 2 alloy wheels and tyres. The tyres are 235/55R19. There are two Continental cross contacts with approx 4mm of tread left and two Toyo Proxe SUV tyres again with approx 4mm of tread.

The wheels are not in perfect condition, with two having damage from kerbing. The other two are in excellent condition with just a couple minor pits on one of them. The damage look much worse then it really is and I have been told that they can be refurbished. The wheels one their own retail at £400+ each new. I am asking for £350 for the lot. That’s a significant saving even with referb costs. Collection only as I want the buyer to see what they are getting. I am open to offers as long as they are sensible. I am located in Tadley near Basingstoke. SOLD

Problem is Shaddow chrome wheels can not be smart repaired, as the process of painting them black then applying a lacquer with silver in to give the Shaddow effect is quite hard to match, so you need to do the full wheel at about £100each then the fact these wheel might not match the others as its done by hand not machine could leave you with a odd wheel and you need to have the other 2 done

4mm treads low, the mixture of tyres also might put people off too

Also I picked up a new wheel from LPR for £100, quite far off the £400 you state Wink

Ideal winter wheels, but pricey

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Santorini Black

As they are damaged with low tread i'd say more like 350 i don't like 19's anyway just for the above reason of curbing lol When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car

Kerbing 19's doesn't happen unless its driver error, I've only done it once in just over 3 years

I see what Chris is saying, the design angle of the spokes, they angle out so the spokes tend to catch the kerb.

This is a sale thread, the design of the wheels would be better discussed elsewhere. Thumbs Up

Price dropped to £400. I understand there is a referb cost here but I think this is reflected in the price. £100 per wheel isn't bad for chromed and ther tyres although not brilliant have 12 mths use left in them. Worth the effort I think. I am open to offers but there isn't much movement now the price has dropped. Looking to put them on e-bay soon.

You could have them finished however you want

Normal full refurbish will include sandblasting the current finish off to bear metal

These have got to be worth what I'm asking. I would think the two good ones are worth that alone. one more try then off to e bay on Monday £350.
