As your about to bleed your own brakes I was wondering how you are going to do it.
I bought myself a fantastic little unit which holds about 7 litres max of brake fluid is hand pumped to presurise and connects to the master cylinder resivour.
You can bleed the whole system with out ever having to check that its got low and drawing in air and because you have a pressured vessel it takes very little time to compleat the whole job single handed.

I have just purchased a simular bit of kit, a Sealey VS820. I have not used it yet but it looks a very well made. For some years now I have used a cheaper pressure device which was charged with air, by a connector to a spare tyre. It only held 1Lt. and the connection to the tyre was unreliable. Many thanks for your reply.

Theres a thread going about when to change brake fluid we could do our own with one of these.

My Service Record book states the FL2 should have the brake fluid changed every three years regardless of distance. With one of these pressure bleeding tools, it really is easy.
There have been reports in the Telegraph [Honest John] of ABS failure due to old or contaminated fluid.

The abs failure is a common fault. Its to do with a pressure switch failing inside the abs modulator. Ive been informed that this switch is not replacable and the whole unit needs to be replaced costing amost £500 for part alone.
