I seem to recall when we visited Halewood last year the figure they told us was a car every 8 minutes came off the line, I cant be certain, do any of the others remember the figure? |

Well if they are separate lines, then the Freelander figure I quoted works out to 9.5 per hour (is that possible?) and the Evoque about 19 (unlikely !?) I'm thinking the Telegraph may have been spun a line. 2020 Defender D200 110S Pangea Green

I can't remember the figures at the Halewood visit, but to answer the above post, the Freelander and the Evoque were being assembled on the same line at the same time and around a ratio of something like 3:1 or 4:1 in the Evoques favour. |

Apparently that low? I've heard from an internal source/friend of mine that they are doing in excess of 850 units a day and are consistently doing so now that they have got supply problems sorted. Overall this has to be good news for JLR and Halewood but was very guarded as to what comes next. Did point out it was incremental increases and would not affect production in UK. What it will do is reduce delivery lead times which again has to be good news. |
