I find the auto can be a pain at times, for instance, if reversing up a kerb, if the kerb is sufficient to stop the car from crawling you need to accelerate a little, which does nothing, then accelerate a little more, then the thing takes off like a thing possessed, takes a little practice.

However what is the differance between this and HDC?

chalk and cheese

anti-stall will keep the vehicle from stalling in most situations.
HDC will slow the car down.

When HDC is enabled it detects when you are going down a hill, if you take your feet off the pedals it will maintain the speed you have selected (I think 8mph is the default) - you can adjust it via the cruise control's +- buttons. I had great fun playing with this feature at LRE last friday - it works really well. Thumbs Up 2020 Defender D200 110S Pangea Green
