Hand brake adjustment

If your hand brake requires adjustment its so easy to do yourself. Firstly, using a flat screwdriver carefully remove the small rear tray just behind your 12v power outlet (foot level) then you will see a twin cable with an adjuster nut. On flat ground (very important) release your handbrake. Using your fingers only you can turn the nut to adjust the tension in the cables, then push up the small lock plate. Bingo! handbrake tension spot on!![/b] GS TD4 Stornoway Grey

Nice info.

what are peoples handbrake like?
how many clicks to full lock?

I reported to dealer that mine seemed loose, around 6 clicks, but he said it was normal. As long as the car was held on final click it was okay. Phil
