The maximum speed that a car with a trailer etc. can be driven 60mph on UK motorways and dual carriageways and 50mph other types of roads (providing no lower speed limit is in force),

Very true CG. Maybe you could remind other car drivers what their maximum speed limit is.

It's not simply speed that kills it's bad driving. I certainly don't condone speeding but it's about driving to the conditions Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation

The speeding rules are way out of balance, So maybe a fl2 type car can haul and brake a caravan quite nicely but I've seen much smaller cars towing large caravans, trailers etc so if they can drive at 60 on a motorway why are modern cars still restricted to 70 mph ? An 80mph limit would be more suitable.

I'll have to try that Thumbs Up CG will be pleased to know that I'm a converted BMW driver (albeit an estate so we're a little more sedate) Ner Ner

Did you find the stalk on the fl2 steering column that makes the funny orange lights flash on each corner of the car? Laughing

Obviously not when I was driving the beamer but since I got my FL2 I use it all the time. Very useful Rolling with laughter 08 Santorini Black HSE manual with DAB and privacy glass

I totally agree you CG. Also what about a 70mph limit for 4x4s towing trailers/caravans.
(Of course only 4x4s made by Land Rover).

Ok you can go 70 with your van... but if you slow down below 70 explosive bolts in your towbar blow freeing your load allowing you to get back to speed ... Deal?

Could make a movie Speed 3 .. the tin shed of death.. starring Hilda Hogden and Norman Wisdom. In a caravan at 70 no one can hear you scream!

(ok I have been drinking! but you would if you had a house full of scouse women for easter Confused )
