Not bad at all.

It can do CD, 'Normal' Radio and DAB, BT telephone, BT Audio streaming, USB connector to iphone 3GS-5 and iPod Touch (all tested) and usb memory stick audio (MP3). You get to see the track details on the screen and you can control on the steering wheel or HU.

Not terribly pretty and not touchscreen but perfectly acceptable. New: Freelander2 GS 62 plate (MY13) - Santorini Black with Clearview & Front PDC

Hi - just got mine yesterday, first impression is that the BT phone function is much better than my VW. Screen works well for something small and suits the car - planning to have a play later as not much time yesterday

Did wonder if you could retro fit the 7 inch touch screen?.

I pick up a 2013MY FL2 GS next week.. would also be interested in the idea of retrofitting the touch screen

Anybody got any info on operating instructions for the unit in the MY13 GS?

I got my GS a couple of days ago and the handbook has nothing in it relating to the basic unit, it just has info for the touch screen one.

Struggled to get DAB to tune, although I think I've cracked that now, but would be good to have instructions for when I get a chance to have a proper tinker.

Have a look at Page 121 of the 2103 MY owners manual which covers the Standard Audio System.

I haven't gotten that far through the manual yet. Just looked in the index for DAB etc and got directed to the pages for the touch screen.

Now I am fully armed to have a tinker over the weekend

It works well but is pig ugly.
I wish I could rip out the centre screen and replace it with something more modern and upmarket. Really let's down the interior in my view.
