Thanks for the heads up. It came with two metal brackets that fix onto the spoiler with allen headed bolts. Am i correct in thinking that these are for 'clamping' the spoiler to the hatch as well as the double sided tape ?

Yep, I don't think the clamps do much clamping but more securing it if the Tape fails and to stop it been ripped off |

Don't be fooled by the clamps, the tape does all the work, they are there just in case, it is unbelievably strong stuff.

If your doing it when it's cold borrow the wife's hairdryer, warm the two mounting points on the Tailgate, will help the tape bond. |

For info having a rear spoiler fitted at dealers next week. According to the parts guy it needs to be bonded and needs couple of hours for it to go off as well as secured with brackets. I presume that means more than just double sided tape for what it is costing! Disco 4 HSE SDV6 Orkney Grey

Fitted mine myself. The advice above about using masking tape as a 'lining up' guide is excellent and was a great help to me. |

I paid £50 to have my pre-primed spoiler sprayed. No more than 5 minutes to fit. |
