MY13 Dynamic v HSE

If I decide to stick with another FL2 when mine comes up for renewal (still 14 months to go) it seems as though my ideal FL2 doesnt exist because I would like the HSE with bodykit (which they dont do). I decided to spec up the Dynamic to HSE level together with adding a few bits to the HSE that come as standard on the Dynamic and this is what I came up with
HSE / Dynamic
Price £37,205 / £35,605
Metallic paint £550 / £550
Privacy glass £350 / £350
rear spoiler £155 / standard
19" wheels £410 / standard
19" spare £185 / £185
xenons £710 / part of plus pack
front park sensors standard / £270
heated steering wheel standard / £175
mats standard / £85
plus pack n/a / £2,500 (adds top audio, armrests, sunroof, xenons, elec seats)

HSE total = £39,565
Dynamic total = £39,720

so is it me or is the bodykit going to cost just £155?? (if i leave off the heated steering wheel it works out cheaper!!!) Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black
Gone - 2014 BMW X3 M Sport Space Grey, faultless!

HSE will retain more value than Dynamic in re sale terms.

Seen lots of people high spec a lower trim model which is never taken into consideration in secondhand market.

How much would a HSE be with the dynamic body kit on?

I have just priced it up for mine. Depending on where you go, I have had prices of between £1400 and £1650 drive in /drive out done.

There are lots of other things that the Dynamic doesnt have. The high end Meridian sound system, Sunroof plus lots more.

A friend of ours has just bought a 2012MY 62 plate HSE as he lost loads on his specced up XS. The XS was a fab car with pretty much the whole options list.

But it was still an XS! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

The Dynamic Plus Pack at £2,500 adds the high end sound system, sunroof, puddle lamps, powerfold mirrors, dipping reverse aid, memory seats, front armrests.

I think this is why the bodykit isnt an option on the HSE, if it was an option then you wouldnt go down the dynamic route and add the pack.

Fully agree with the comments regarding resale value, a specced up base model never holds its value compared to a top end model with everything as standard. If I decide to have another FL2 it would have to have the bodykit like I had on my first one - really looked the part and seeing as though I dont go offroad doesnt cause me any issues. £40K is still alot of money but a similar Evoque is gonna be around £46K, Audi Q5 about £45K, even a Kia Sorento is £35K!!!!!!!!!!! Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black
