Have just swam out to Southend and back, some 170 miles, in pretty tricky weather, and am pleased to say the FL coped admirably. There's a lot of water on the roads out there in Essex and Herts, and on more than one occasion had a heart in mouth moment when traversing some deep floods, but she pulled through regardless.

I have noticed, however, that there are a lot of TwITS out there driving like maniacs, believing that because they are in an Audi A4/5 (commonly) that they are invincible to everyone and everything. Coincidentally, I must have passed at least 5 today stranded in water with their hazard lights on. And no I didn't stop to help them...can't think why.....  Foraging near Gaydon....

Audi diesel air boxes are very low causing them to flood the engine when going through shallow fords. I only know this through experience of driving the father in laws a4 through one and bending a con rod
