England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Stornoway Grey

Just had a new key (fleebay £40:00 O.E.M and sealed in bag) programmed at Hatfields L.pool for £56:70 all in, just keeping you all in the loop with current prices.

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Sumatra Black

I have the key, it unlocks the doors but will not start the car.
Does that mean that I need a new battery + reprogram?
