Cracking choice Thumbs Up

Looks like the Edition 35 with those alloys. Did you go manual or DSG ? _________________

It is the '35 Aero, well noticed! DSG, I tend to get on well with auto's and the DSG system, mated to that engine is a cracking combination. It has a lovely blip on the downshift and a pop on the up which always brings a smile!

Cheers Doctor. When in Comfort mode the refinement isn't far off the Freelander in all honesty. And yes I'm waiting for my first Saxo bashing moment Wink

It seems to get a bit of respect from a few people, I get the odd wave from other GTI's and also let out of quite a lot of roads! Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

Thumbs Up

Landy, if you like the 4wd safety and high driving position then the Golf's a no, but if you can do without these then they really aren't a bad choice Thumbs Up Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

I want a cheaper run about. I don't really need a 4x4 these days, if it snows I lock the doors and hide!

F O Very Happy

No it's my grandad's initials...it was his plate but he passed away earlier this year. I've just deleted the number that comes after the initials. Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

Bow down
I haven't seen a 35 on the road, and I am officially green with envy. As I am sure you know its the fastest GTI and uses a detuned 267 BHP lump borrowed from the R. 0-60 in under 6.5 seconds and a fantastic 'warble and blip' on gear changes. I love the leather and the DRL's are subtle and sexy.

Thanks!

It is the detuned lump from the 'R, although I've seen 2 on dyno's that have both been putting out 250hp as standard...instead of the advertised 232! Funnily enough the only one I've seen was the other day locally to me, brand new in the exact same spec as mine, and from the same dealers!

It's a car that's really got under my skin and will be keeping for many years to come Thumbs Up Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35
