Fuse Box 'viewing'

Am I doing something wrong or is the fuse box in the passenger footwell a 'nightmare'
Once I twist down on hands & knee's to view, I cannot see any 'ID' numbers to show what fuse is what- i am looking for passenger light fuse.
Must be an easier way ????
And first car I have had with no 'spare' fuses !!- Found a packet of Merc fuses ( must have fallen out when car was sold ) but these are too big !! 2011 XS,Sumatra Black, GONE MARCH 2014- RR Evoque Prestige 5 door ,MY 2014,Loire Blue, Silver Roof, Panoramic roof.

Reading from your owners manual, the fuses are numbered left to right, starting on the top row. The fuses are 'mini blade'.

F17 (7.5 amp) passenger fusebox does all interior lighting, so if the rest is working it isn't that fuse.

If you are talking of the 'puddle lights' then this is fed from the rear luggage fuse box (FA2, its a 25 amp so highly unlikely) and on the same circuit as the door module, so if your door/door controls are working correctly then it's not that fuse either.
Look for bulb, wiring or door switch problem if this fuse is intact.

Thanks for your help- sorted.
I had swopped interior / boot bulbs to 'White interior LED' bulbs- hence blowing the fuse
New 'light' worth the effort.
Regrettably MY2011 comes with no spare fuses nor a fuse tool- glad I found my old Merc one 2011 XS,Sumatra Black, GONE MARCH 2014- RR Evoque Prestige 5 door ,MY 2014,Loire Blue, Silver Roof, Panoramic roof.

no fuse tool Shocked , my 08 defiantly had one, but I forget where it lived as I kept it in the glove box handy for removing the rear wiper fuse when using the bike rack At work

Definitely in the lid of the under bonnet fuse box - along with a bunch of spare fuses. I know only for the same reasons as CG as I disable the rear wiper! Thumbs Up Freelander 2 TD4 Auto, SE, Narvik Black, Alpaca full leather, Rear Headrest Entertainment System, 6 CD, 18 HSE Wheels, Privicy tints
