Norway 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

Our FL2 had the "sunroof clips improvement" yesterday Smile It took two hours and my wife was informed (again) that it was part of an LR campaign but no other explanation as to what exactly they have done. Rolling Eyes

The sunroof still works ok and provisionaly the only indication that somebody has been fingering my beauty, was the obligatory telltale greasy finger mark on the roof-lining Neutral 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Last week my FL2 was in to the check, after 30 min I was told that it was difficult because of the Roof rails, so it would take an hour more than expected
I walked about and came back after 30 min and my car stood outside -- ??????
The explanation was that they had used 2 men on the job.
I can not see that anything has been done, except for AndyC´s greasy fingermark on the roof-lining.
I`m thinking they just quit the job. LR Freelander2 2,2 Td4 HSE manuel Stornaway Grey (Metallic) & Ebony Black Leather & Sun/Moon-roof & Bi-Xenon & Roof Rails & Tow bar & Body side rubbing strips & Cold climate pack & Privacy glass & NavTeq . Production Date: 11/5-2007 in Halewood.

Sorry, but I have changed to Defender 90 ", and I love my" tractor ".

Well, now I have finally had it done.

It was supposed to take 18 minutes according to Land Rover, so they estimated it would take about 45 minutes.

It took two hours!

I think I was the first one, so maybe they werent trained enough, -or my roof rails caused the extra time.

Anyway, its done. It is raining heavily today, so I havent really tested if it works, but I suppose so, 2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Automatic, Caspian Blue, Alpaca, Moon roof, Exclusive pack.

Hi Viking, mine also took two hours (see last post) and I dont have roof rails Neutral
Seems like its the standard time to fit a little clip Rolling Eyes

No, I just delivered the car. I didn't ask either. All I know is that they had to get some parts, but what they were, -or their function, I dont know.

So I am happily unaware of what has been done. All I know is that it is done. 2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Automatic, Caspian Blue, Alpaca, Moon roof, Exclusive pack.

I took my car in for the sunroof recall to be done as well as a few other things. The car was returned to me with NO dirty marks on the roof lining and the sunroof working fine. I haven't tried it for leaks yet but so far so good. Well Done Conwy Land Rover. Smile

I got my sunroof recall fixed. After the fix, when I opened the sunroof, for some reason it felt as if the sunroof didn't open as far back as it did before the fix. But to be honest, i can't really recall how far back the roof went previously.

Has anyone else noticed this? Or better still can someone confirm that when the sunroof is opened, the glass does NOT go so far back that the entire roof opening is cleared? What i have now is about 10cm (or 3 inches) of glass overhanging and covering the opening, when the sunroof is fully opened.

If this was the norm, I've just noticed then that when the sunroof is opened, not only do I not get the full opening of the front sunroof, but the rear black part of the sunroof glass actually then covers over part of the smaller rear (non-opening) sunroof!

Just checked today. No recall yet on my sunroof, so I think it is like your pre-recall one.
Because of the system adopted the glass cannot go so far back to clear the entire roof opening.
I have found about 12 cm (4.5 inches) of glass overhanging and covering the opening, when the sunroof is fully opened.
In other way I have 25.5 cm (10 inches) of open view.

Just checked with my dealer. No sunroof recall/refit logged on the system for my car. Are they missing something or do certain cars have this already fixed at the factory?

My FL2 was built in June 07 and registered Nov. 07 and needed the sunroof mod.
Viking ordered his in Sept.07 but was not registered until Jan. 08 (don’t know the build date) and also needed the sunroof mod. Surprised

So I guess it all depends on when LR started incorporating the mod on production cars and when yours was built RW Question 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

I guess Sept 07, registered in Nov 07.
Does anyone know if the mod has an LR reference number? My service manger is very helpful and may check again for me if I have a ref number. Thanks again.
