Wish there was an outlet for these here in the States. Checked with these folks about shipping to the US and found it was as much as the deflectors. Anyone know of a US source? Thanks in advance.

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Tonga Green

I've recently fitted some of these: -

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-piece-Wind-Def...0677443585

They arrived within 3 or 4 days of ordering them.

I went for these Heko ones as they are a little more slimline than some of the ones that are available. Don't think Climair do them for Freelander 2 do they???

Details on me fitting them here: -

http://www.greenlandrover.org.uk/fitting-w...elander-2/

I'm really pleased with them. Discovery 4 HSE - Aintree Green

No experience yet on FL2, but RRS and Disco all reduce the thudding noise.

Main benefit I have found is having the window open in wet weather or having used the washer jets stops it all coming in and dribbling on your window switches and into the car.

Have also found the slide in ones tend to make the car slightly noisier under normal driving conditions but they are eaisly removed when needed to be.

The other type stick onto the outside of the door frame, much quieter in normal conditions but become a permanent fixture

Just fitted 4th set of wind deflectors, 2 x FL1, 1 x Toyota Urban Cruiser (not one to be over looked, even if a little over priced) the last set fitted to my FL 2 (57 plate) ordered off fleabay, arrived whithin 3 days, fit perfect, 4 off for £29.99 inc postage, does wot it says on the tin, n look good, (in my opinion) Photo's to follow.

I have climair deflectors fitted to my front windows and they are a definite improvement. I'm not keen on the look, but function over style works for me.

Is it "Wind Flutter" you refer to when you talk about "Booming" and the window positions?

"Booming" I associate with noise from an undamped structure or a damaged or inappropriate exhaust system reverberating within the car.

2010 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Ipanema Sand

I tried the Heko deflectors supplied through Towequipe but had to remove them almost straight away. The tint was so dark that they effectively increased the width of the A pillar by about 50%. I didn't keep them on long enough to really notice any improvement in wind noise with windows open. If they were available in clear acrylic they would be a better bet but haven't found them in clear despite trawling various online ads.

when it's hot outside, you can leave your windows open when the car is parked just enough to allow air to circulate. Whereabouts unknown stop going to follow stream until reach civilisation stop message ends
