This was really helpful. I was missing a truck load of stations but one I had changed it to Band L and III from just Band L it worked a treat! 11 SD4 HSE Stornoway Grey / Black Windsor Leather |

You may be right EY Never listened to DAB in the car, but at home hooked up to my Hi-Fi, it's dreadful. Best bit rates come from R3, but it still doesn't hack it compared to FM. Some stations are even in mono. Radio stations received via Freeview are better quality than DAB as the bitrate is higher. I'm afraid DAB is going to get worse as bandwidths/bit rates narrow/decrease as more sations are added. It's good old FM for me, nowt to match it. Why the government want to switch it off is beyond me. No moving parts to wear out while transmitting; it should go on for years. Except the government can get a revenue from DAB Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice. |

Sorry to say but anything that uses/transmits current warms and cools, this ages devices and they die...................... Hooray otherwise us sparks are out of a job. The other issue is that due to developments in semiconductors they have a relatively short production life, so spares for "older" kit is always giong to be patchy. Government needs to recover as much of the radio spectrum as possible to re-sell more licenses to the mobile operators so they, in turn, can deliver high speed broadband.
