free stuff

I got a free car wash, duster and air freshener from my dealer today Thumbs Up

The catch? I had too buy not one but two new EGR valves from them Evil or Very Mad spent last week puttering around Northumbria leaving a cloud of black smoke behind me and annoying folks with my slow slow pullouts from roundabouts and junctions ( a caravan over took me on the A1 as I had no speed on the slip road, I soon roared past him after the car remebered it did have an engine after all)

cruised home at the end of the week at proper speeds as the EGR fault has little relevance once the engine gets upto speed.

car was fine the day before the holiday, last Monday morning jumped in and set off, no power Evil or Very Mad

Runs sweet as sweet now Thumbs Up

Met up with my cousin on the trip, he couldnt laugh too much as his Audi A4 is just back from having a new turbo fitted At work

we took it to my cousin mate staying on the same site,as he had a tool box, We popped the engine cove off stared into the engine a while then put everything back and closed the bonnet, there is no working room in there, not a job to do on the grass next to a static caravan in Seahouses.

( I will add here that I did not stay in a caravan, I chose a lovely cottage in Lesbury, it was a holiday not a penance Laughing ) At work

I always ask my dealer specifically not to wash my car.
I'd rather do it myself than risk paint swirls Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

is the EGR vacuum actuated? if so you can just pull the hose so that it doesnt open (same effect as blanking)
