Clunk from the rear when doing a tight turn - help needed

HELP NEEDED>
my 2008 FL 2 is making a clunking sound from the back when you do a tight turn.
Ive checked the wheels, discs and suspension but cant find anything loose etc.
While ive got it over the pit ive checked the Haldex coupling - does the oil level come up to the inspection hole?
There doesnt seem to be any oil in it coupling but there was some iron fillinngs type gunk on the filler plug.
Can anyone advise as I nee the car tomorrow !

Difficult to diagnose a clunk at a distance, especially as you have checked the obvious. However, the haldex oil level should not be too much of a problem. For reasons best known to those who designed it the correct oil level is arrived at by filling to the filler plug level and then using a syringe to remove 75 mil. Thus the level should never be up to the plug. I can't comment on the gunk round the plug but providing it is on the outside and no sign on the inside I wouldn't get too excited at this stage.

Are you sure you have checked for play in the rear propshaft joint? John

Have you looked to see if there is a tear in the driveshaft gaiter? a dry UV Joint can make a hell of a clunk

What oil in the haldex coupling?

Sorry to drag this one up again but what type and how much oil goes in the haldex coupling?
Would it be checked at a 4 year service?

Is there anywhere on the web I can find a workshop manual etc to save me asking you stout chaps all these daft questions?

Many thanks
