Davide, this is not an oem system, you can build it yourself,on the topic there is a list of the components I've used. Takes a while and effort but I think is worth it at the end.

Uncle Buck, I wish to come over sometimes; I used to live in London for 13 years and I miss the UK ... half of my heart is British Wink oh well, at list my car is Very Happy

Simon, I think Land Rover will do something about I'm sure they will improve the system in future, see the Disco and The Range ... (actually I've notice they're already selling a kit to open the gate via wifi, that is very useful if you've one)

That's a good question Wink

Premise that I'm not a huge football supporter, from what I know, Italy in this world cup it doesn't have a good team and I think that it's quite hard to win the world cup twice in a row.

Well, I've heard from somebody, that the final will be "England - Italy" in that case I'll support Italy, but I'll not be disappointed at all if England wins Wink

What I'm more interested is to see a great match, with nice goals and game Very Happy

United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Dynamic Auto Santorini Black

Hi

Sorry to resurrect an old post as my first post but this is how I cam across the site. I had until last week a smart roadster that I was very happy with but the engine exploded for the second time, so decided it was time to get a sensible car, lucky my dad will be part exing his 57 plate GS when he gets back from holiday so I will be buying it instead.

Back on topic, I had a very nice audio nav system in my old car but would like to keep the freelander looking oem so when I came across this thread was very excited!

I would happily put a guide together showing my progress of the install but have a few questions.

Does anyone know if the cubby hole where the oem gps would go has the same dimensions as the models fitted with gps? It looks like all the monitors I can find would end up having bits of the screen chopped off if I fit them to the GS interior so wondered if the nav versions have a larger gap?

Thanks

Jon

Although I have a SE version, I'm almost sure that the cubby hole has the same dimensions for all versions, no mather if it has factory navi or not. The problem is that the cubby hole is proper for fitting a 6,95 inch screen (wich is almost impossible to find nowadays) and not a 7 inch one. I know that because I've just fitted one. But if you're planing to use a frontend, and not windows explorer, I can asure you there's no problem in cutting the edges

haha..

very cool setup, how well does the OBDII reader work, before it was quite hard for us to mess around with the LR code to get my defender to work with properly!
