Washed my Fl2 yesterday and was surprised to discover that i could get my finger in a gap between the passenger side headlamp and the bonnet. I ran my finger along the gap above the front grille and got half way along before i couldnt move my finger any further. I looked at the drivers side and there is no gap above the headlamp. I crouched in front and have noticed that the bonnet is not sitting level - further evident when looking side on you can see a noticeable gap between the passenger wing and the glam shell bonnet - again theres no gap above the wing on the drivers side.

There are two bonnet catches, you will need to free both catches up with wd40 by openning and closing the bonnet a few times, use both hands on the bonnet when closing, once the bonnet closes properly smeer a little vassaline on the moving parts of the latch this will help keep it from sticking |

3 in 1, White Lithium grease also does the trick. My nearside catch also came loose, stopping it from working. Maybe worth checking that. They're a pain to tighten, but it can be done |

When I picked up my FL2 last year, the bonnet was open on one catch as described in this thread. I didn't spot it |

Happened to me today, just after the car returned from service - bonnet open error even thought it was closing properly. Worse was the car could not be locked with this error.
