Landrover Love

I have to voice my humbled appreciation to Taz publicly.. to write why, would simply take too long.

It is perhaps a little pessimistic to say that the world is full of bad eggs, but it certaintly does require reaching out a helping hand now and again to really show what you are made of, and see what is out there.

Taz, thanks for all your help over the last week helping me sort out this nightmare, and help keep my car on the road during the snow season for less than a small fortune mate. It is really, really nice to know that there are likeminded people out there keeping the bar raised high. Good Job!

This door always stands ajar, and there will always be a bottle here waiting for you to throw the cork in the campfire : )

I learned many years ago that to argue that your daughters wedding is too expensive and also, as my son in law number one found out, he didn't really need to be there, a cardboard cut out would be sufficient. It's all about the bride and her Mother. Take a tip from me it's a bit like a dog barking at the moon. It might make the dog feel better but it doesn't really achieve anything. Just pay up and enjoy the booze! Rolling with laughter Ralph

Hahahaha, too funny, I am hoping to get married at the start of next year and share the opinion off all the men in here.. we get our toys, they get a wedding, its best that I just sit and nod to everything and occasionaly switch out "sure honey" with "that sounds perfect" etc etc Smile

Paul has indeed helped with bidding, acquisition and shipping of aforementioned rims.. above and beyond for someone I had never even had the chance to talk with utside the forum prior to my call for help!

Well done Taz! it's what forums like this are really for.

My daughter demanded that she pay for her own wedding Very Happy ....but then she works earns a telephone number salary and her husband earns more! John

Nice one John. I'm hoping my daughter (in similar financial circumstances to yours) feels the same way about her forthcoming nuptials.

Does age make a difference? Thumbs Up She'll be 40 by the time of the wedding and hasn't lived at home for over 20 years. So there's not even the monetary advantage of pushing her out of the house to offset against any wedding costs........ Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto
