Hi Npinks

No wind noise at all Thumbs Up

I think they may be a bit higher than neccessary but they do give the FL2 a chunkier look. Cool

I will post pics when I get time and it is light.

Muddywheels

I have the LR roof rails, that's running from the back to the front.

I have Thule roof bars, that's running side to side.

The rectangular cross section bars are 129cm overal length, and they are attached to the rails by Thule 775 model foot pack.

Hope that helps.

Forgot to add that the internal measurements of my LR roof rails are:-

At the front by the join = 100cm

At the rear by the join = 95cm

So it looks as though your rails are correctly fitted.

according to the roofbox website the bars should be 761 (120cm) and quick fixing 755

& according to the Thule website the 775 fit with 869 aerobars (769 normal square bars)

The 775's are a lower rail fixing at 5.5cm and the 755 is 7.5cm high

775 Fits railing sizes between 20-68 mm.

755 Fits railing sizes between 18-50 mm.

I hope that helps Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Mine are actually Jaguar Aero bars and feet from my X-type estate but they are made by Thule and the model no's are equivelants - the feet fit perfect but the bar length is 10mm short on the front bar.

The 761 are the square section. Mine are the upgrade 861 Aero bars Thumbs Up

I have the 120cm bars and they do not fit so going to speak to Roof Box Company tomorrow in case they need to amend site.

I reckon this must all be coming confusing, so I will add a bit more to it!

Check out the THULE website.
For cars with LR roof rails (Thule refers to sunroof) then the 775 Foot Pads and 127cm Bars are needed.

For cars without roof rails a different foot pad fitting is suggested.

The only bit that is not confusing is what is on top of my sunroofed Freelander 2 is - LR roof rails, with Thule 775 foot pads and 127cm bars (they measure 129cm with the plastic end caps). They all fit properly and look right.

roofbox also offer the same setup as NsE, in small writting further down the page when looking at FL2 without roof rails they offer "alternative bars for FL2 with roof rails"

So they confuse things even further aswell by offering two different setups which are accessed by 2 different ways Rolling Eyes

I personally would go with Thule website as they should know what fits what, Maybe Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Do not know about 775? I have Thule Rapid System roof rail clamps no. 755 and they are are perfect fit. Thumbs Up

Been to Halfords today and they recommend 760/860 roof bars (108cm) - no way will they fit - I have 861 (120cm) and they are 10mm short! Rolling Eyes

I will go with Thule site recommendation 769/869 and ignore other sites now! Bit annoyed because I went for roof rails because was informed I could reuse Jag bars and will now have to fork out another £60 to change them - if I had Known this I would have gone for cheaper roof mounted system instead of LR rails Crying or Very sad

Update - need to check existing 755 will fit 769/869 bars - anyone know? Shocked

Hi again Muddywheels.

The Thule 769 are the 127cm rectangular bars.
The Thule 869 are the 127cm alluminium aero bars.

You say the 755 foot pads fit the LR rails, so you should be ok with the longer 769 or 869 bars.

However, I have the Thule 769 mated with the 775 foot pads, which include locks.

Fits perfectly on my Freelander 2.

(when I purchased my Thule parts from Halfords, their catalogue was only showing the Freelander 1, which takes the shorter bars.)
