What am I doing wrong then

Bluetooth connection on phone is causing me a few headaches

Thought it was sorted by un hiding blue tooth as it then connected automatically a few times when getting in the car

Now it is just a hit and miss operation again

A lot of the time if I press the phone symbol on dash nothing happens as red and green buttons on steering wheel. Phone does not connect to system at all sometimes it connects automatically sometimes I can press phone symbol and then select my phone but nothing seems to be logical in when or how it connects.

Any ideas what I,m doing wrong

It's not the best phone system but I find using my iPhone 3gs that if my phone is in my works bag and its in the boot or on the back seat it never drops out, but if its in my pocket or next to me it sometime drops out. I think some phones are worst than others, my old Sony Ericsson was perfect in staying connected.

I thought I had similar problems but since I follow the following process - no issues !!

Always make sure the phone's bluetooth is on BEFORE getting in the car and turning the ignition on

If I forget this and only turn the phone's blue tooth on when already underway - then its hit and miss so I always hit the phone button on the radio, select pairing to my phone.. and no issues thereafter !

After Hinchy's post think I have sussed it.

Bluetooth will not be found if hidden on phone (Galaxy s3) even though it has been paired.

If I place phone in drink holders or on passenger seat no issues, keep it in my pocket then it will not connect.

Thanks for the input guys Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
