Shilen - Have added a few more pics in my gallery of the centre console to show the additional upholders which wasn't very clear from my first pics.

When the centre console cover is in the closed position there is only one cup holder visible however if you open the console cover there is another cupholder and a smaller circular holder for something else smaller than the average cup...

Behind those is the USB drive, Aux audio in, and second cigarette socket.

Just been down to Weston Supamud for day to give new Fl2 a run out and now getting 36mpg after doing about 450miles in total so far after about 2 weeks. Started at 23mpg when first got it.

Same model as you but wishing had privacy glass now! Also thought running lights were standard on XS so missed out on those as well! Agree that iPhone connectivity is one of best features.

Not used full beam that much but seems ok although not used on unlit roads yet. Disco 4 HSE SDV6 Orkney Grey

Can you remove the second cupholder and circular holder out of the console ? * GONE. GS TD4 Manual MY2013. Orkney Grey with privacy, cold and clearview packs, armrests (a must!) and a spoiler.

DrRpb - I took a look and its fixed in as it looks to be a single piece of plastic moulding that makes up the console.

Cheers

I'm impressed with your 36mpg - Did you get the manual or auto out of interest ? I have the auto and are up to 31MPG over the last 120 miles of mainly A/B roads and no motorways yet.

I took the car back to the dealers as the dipped beam was too low and they re aligned it for me which has made a world of difference and on dipped / main bean the new lights are a better that my 2010 FL2 (I didn't opt for xenon)

Manual. Been keeping it below 3000rpm and changing up quite quickly so that may have helped. Before the run to Weston had only been doing short trips. Also tried not to cane it on the motorway although very tempted! Disco 4 HSE SDV6 Orkney Grey

MPG:
Book on Kuga is 47.1. I get 43.2 after 16K. How? No high revving; no high speeds (70 on average); mainly dual carriageway or motorway miles. All 3 combine to get good mpg.
Will see how the technique works on the new Freelander Whistle * GONE. GS TD4 Manual MY2013. Orkney Grey with privacy, cold and clearview packs, armrests (a must!) and a spoiler.

I’m new to the forum. Looking to order a new freelander. My first (but long awaited) landrover. I’ve seen more good info on this site than anywhere else, particularly the pics so thanks.
I’m weighing up the various models, XS Vs Dynamic. 150 auto.
I was leaning towards the latter but did want it in black. (santorini).
The dynamic seemingly has the grille and side vent in black anyway, and I was wondering if these would look odd against the black paint? Too black if you see what I mean? I know this is largely subjective, but any thoughts greatly received.
Very Happy

France 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Narvik Black

Hi JE81 and welcome.

Lots of people who have bought the best colour (black!) swap the silver side vents for black ones as they say it looks better. Personally I am not convinced........needs chrome really! Very Happy John

Hi chalkey, I've not noticed that the DRL dim to be honest but will keep any eye out over the weekend and let you know. I'm really interested to see how your car looks once the lights are fitted so get those pics uploaded Smile

Assume you mean the Terrain Response buttons as there are no traction control buttons on a Freelander.
It won't do any damage if you select a Terrain Response setting accidentally at 70 mph and the vehicle will adjust its setup to match the setting you've selected. The only warning LR give is that continued use of an inappropriate TR setting may lead to the early wear of some mechanical components.
