Well, if you want to ruin it! The original is still the best looking Freelander - the updates have the feel of having been done purely for marketing reasons, not for aesthetics. The original grille gives the car more presence, and those square cut-outs around the fog lights are plain ugly. And at the back, why would one want to add a single chrome strip to a car which is otherwise (thankfully) completely devoid of chrome. No, you already have the best. OK, I'll go get my flack jacket now. |

You will see from posts elsewhere that some people have picked up front bumpers and other parts on eBay at prices much lower than dealer prices, so that might be worth a look. On the other hand, shipping costs for something like a bumper may be an issue for you. Also be aware that the 2013 LED lights are not compatible with older cars, although you can get LEDs which are designed to replace the standard bulbs. Even there, though, you have to be careful to ensure that they're compatible with the car and the CAN bus. Again, lots of useful information in other posts. |

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car |
