If you running different tyres front an rear, one set good in ice one set not, could lead to a interesting drive if one set lost grip and the other doesn't Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

Yeh definatley. Thats why Im hoping for someone with experience of the tyres to give me an idea of how good they are. I actually have 3 vredenstein tyres because 1 got damaged last year. I have advertised on this site for anyone selling the same tyre used but havent had any joy so far. We'll just need to wait and see what the winter brings |

Mixing winters and summers on the same car is a really bad idea.... get that extra Vred bought. |

Agreed - in slippery conditions you're likely to end up in the scenery, and the handling will be unpredictable. Plus, your insurance company will not be happy if they find out! For the price of a single Vredstein it's just not worth the risk. |

Hi.. I have a set of Fullrun tyres on my 08 motor. They were fitted by Statstone when I got the car two years ago. As far as grip goes, I cannot fault them. I have been through two winters with no problems, and have seen some pritty bad weather conditions as well. The only problem I have is the road noise. I get a constant "droneing", more noticable in the rear of the motor, especially when the seats are down. To be fair, Stratstones have replaced the diff (twice) and the Haldex unit, and eventually come to the conclusion that the noise is from the tyres. I have done less that 15k miles on them, and have had the fronts swapped on the rims, as they were wearing on the outer edges. (tracking was fine). The fronts are wearing a lot quicker than the rears. I think I will probably get less than 20k out of the front, and maybe 25k on te rear.
