I expected this topic could have got hot but not that hot! Wink

Going back to the original question I found Viking's motivations

Quote:
Caspian Blue reflects strenght, daring to stand out of the crowd, something to be noticed, courage [...]

are the same motivations behind my (different) choice. Thank you for the insight!

Saw a Nazca Question Sand FL2 today in Morley, Leeds

had a full bodykit, I only saw it briefly and i didn't think the colour suited a bodykit

The colour its self is ok, but its not grey Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

The first fl2 I saw was in tambora flame? and to be honest I thought it was a nissan x-trail until I got closer. (it was a dark night)

I then didn't pay much attention to fl2s until we knew Mrs George was expecting ( I saw a few grey ones ZZZZZ Laughing) .We had a Audi TT on order and had parked next to one in the supermarket car park, taking a sneaky peak into the back of the Audi we could tell getting the babies carseat in was going to be a very big problem, Just then another orange fl2 parked up close by and we both looked and said we need one of those instead.

So when Audi called to say they had messed up our order it was a no-brainer to grab back our deposit and head off to the Land-Rover dealer.
Much arguing ensued until I accepted M. G.s demand for black paint, £500 less for non metallic appealed to my tight wad farmer nature!

Another dealer error meant we got metallic after all. and I now hold my hands up high and say M.G. was right (for once Wink ). Then she dug her heels in for black side tubes instead of chrome, the jury is out on that but at least they are different to most other fl2's with the chrome.

Crazy dog didn't get a looking regarding colours and is only allowed in the Fl2 occasionally but I think she would have chosen blue.

[quote="Gambba"].................was hoping it was more like the RRS orange Big Cry[/quote
Vesuvius is worse than Tambora when you see it in the wrong light (like 95% of the time in the UK) Vesuvius Orange looks like dark khaki/ horse Censored brown in the wet and dull UK, it's only looks Orange when the sun shines and the skies are blue. At least Tambora looks cheerful most of the time, even in dull and grey conditions How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?
Now driving - RRE Coupe Dynamic Lux Auto with Plus pack, Fuji White, Ebony, SD4 with tow pack
Gone - 2010MY FFRR TDv8 Stornoway and Ivory, Privacy - the pace of a TDv8 RRS, the incomparable grace of a Range Rover
Gone but will be missed- RRS Tdv8 HSE Stornoway Grey with Ebony Leather
Gone (only a little missed) RRS Tdv6 2.7SE Giverny Green/Aspen
Defender 90 County HT in Epsom Green

A bit like white then, where the sun and ambient light really make it look good, and that's probably why Tambora looked too yellow here and the Vesuvius looks perfect here.

We like the sun  Bow down  Mr. Green

Sat on my lounge balcony looking out over the nice green golf course, eating breakfast and surfing Freel2.com....and knowing its going to be good weather again today, what more could you want Mr. Green
