help needed to open MSG files on my Laptop

I've moved MSG files ( from Microsoft Outlook ) from my works PC to my Laptop and find I can't open them on my Laptop.

I understand it's because I do not have Outlook on my Laptop ( windows 7 )

can anyone tell me how to open them please ? ( as I am Scottish I would like to be able to do this without paying to download a program Wink )

Iain

On xp you could import them into outlook express - can you import them into mail or whatever you get with 7 Confused

Alternative would be to use save as pdf or such on pc then you can transfer and open them but will take ages if you have a lot Embarassed Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

You could try this trial and see if you can open what you need;

Or perhaps look at whether openoffice can import MSG files. Openoffice is a complete opensource (free) office suite.!

Does your employer have Microsoft Exchange? if so you can log onto your e-mail via the web and view them there.

when you say "moved them" how did you do this?
Many third party e-mail progrmas will not open mail from Outlook, Microsoft don't make it easy.

Have you set up some software on your laptop for e-mails?

taz, they are archive files that I moved from outlook to the hard drive on my works pc. ( they open ok on my works pc )

I then moved them onto a flashdrive and put them on my laptop, but as my laptop doesn't have outlook ( only web access to email ) it will not open the msg. files
