Both the 225/75x16 and the 235/70x16 General AT2 is available as I type, and 235/70x16 General AT also.

BFGoodrich would be anoth great choice. Andy.

Hi all,

I know tyres get asked about all the time, but this is more specifically about the 19" rims and what is available now, as this does change since some of the older posts.

I have the 19" shadow chrome wheels, currently with 235/55 R19 Continental Cross Contact UHPs on them. I live in surrey, so don't have to face some of the snow levels that people do up north, but i live in a village with hills in all directions and snow has become an issue in the past.

I'm not convinced im at the "second set of wheels" stage yet to have some separate winter tyres, so looking for something that will do all year, not be too noisy, do ok in snow but good the rest of the year, and not Censored off insurance companies. I'm getting the impression from searching that the UHPs do ok apart from quick wear and not so good in the snow. It also seems that after looking on here that the respected General Grabber AT2s don't fit that wheel size unless bend the rules a little.

Any suggestions? especially from those with the same size wheels. Am i better off pickup up an e-bay special on some 18/19" wheels and sticking on winter tyres.

Many thanks,
Mike

I've had mixed messages from dealers re: general grabber AT 255/60R18's. some say will invalidate warranty, some say they won't, some say road noise will increase, some say they are quiet!! I desperately need 4 really good all weather tyres and am confused! I only want one set so need to get it right! They also have To be v good in snow! HELP!!

2011 Freelander 2 SD4 Sport Auto Santorini Black

Just bought these off EBay:

Sorry Nick Sad

Picking them up tomorrow and AJS are putting a set of Vredstein winter boots on them Thumbs Up

Can confirm that the Continental UHPs fitted to the 19" shadow crome are next to useless in even light snow. Heading up to NE Scotland a couple of times over winter period and am taking no chances.
