Look on the bright side
When the kids are older, you can nip round to their house with the Mrs. after work, play with the grandson for an hour and then nip down to the pub for a bite to eat, a couple of pints, and then the Mrs. can drive you home. After all you did treat her to a meal out, the least she can do is stay sober enough to get you both home.

Did I mention that we had kids early, so are now reaping the benefits. Bad news is that grandchildren cost a fortune, but you can hand them back when they start whinging. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
