Auto left foot rest uncomfortable: can it be removed?

Hi

Any one out there find the left foot rest on the Automatic uncomfortable?

I'm 6'2" and can't seem to find a comfortable place to put my left foot.

Has anyone removed the foot rest, or any tips on removing the front carpet so I can cut it out from underneath the carpet please?

Regards Rob I was a happy Freelander 1 owner for 10 years, now a happy Freelander 2 owner.

Foot rest is perfect in mine, with right foot on throttle you get an almost perfectly balanced position. Better than some German cars with fat transmission tunnels.

I'm not sure if you could remove it though.. Feels like its just a plastic box section so possibly. Will make a mess of the carpet though. Freelander 2 TD4 Auto, SE, Narvik Black, Alpaca full leather, Rear Headrest Entertainment System, 6 CD, 18 HSE Wheels, Privicy tints
