Hi!
First time poster and hopefully will be an owner of a new HSE in the not to distant future.
My question is regarding the Windsor ivory leather.
Never having owned a car (or sofa fo that matter) with white leather, does anyone have any sage advise for or against this.
After looking at many photos online, I personally think it looks great. However I am a little worried about:
- How easy it may mark, stain
- is the Windsor leather hardy? in other words.. Do I have to treat it like fine china! Or can I just plonk my but in the seat and relax.

Just for the record, we don't have any kids or pets. That I know of!
Any advice would be very much appreciated

Keep up to cleaning and nourishing it every 6 - 12 months (depending on use/how dirty it gets) and then just plonk your butt on it

I prefer Gliptone liquid leather cleaner, followed by the same brands conditioner, but other members use different brands with great results.

OH has ivory leather seats in his car, not a freelander but a jag, so possibly similar

Blue from jeans can occasionally come off on it, especially when jeans are new/ heated seats are used. Comes off easily enough with a leather cleaner ( we've used various ones all have worked). Other than that an half yearly leather cream and they are still as good as new, car is 5 years old now.

I have been pleasantly surprised by how well they have lasted  2011 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Santorini Black with privacy glass.

Had cream leather in my Range Rover, was gorgeous and had a hard life but was fine. Just clean it and avoid cheap jeans or new clothes.

Recently had a brand new RRS loaner with Ivory - it was full of marks and convinced me not to buy a Baltic Blue FFRR with Ivory I was considering

Don't think I would be able to afford new clothes anyways if I owned a range rover

On a serious note, the leather should be fine if you look after it. We had some wipes that came with our sofa we bought yonks ago and they seem to work in keeping the leather clean and moisturised.

True, the other big thing that drys leather is in winter if you use the heated seats.

Only does that if youve normally got a sweaty bum though.

If you use the car for work or long periods of use then do as I do with my cars, go to a shop & find a towel that is as near the same colour as the seats which won't stand out much & that will keep the drivers seat clean/unmarked then when you wish to use the car for going out with family etc remove the towel/fold it up & put it in the door storage bin for next use! (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

Digging up an old thread...

I was wondering if after some time of owning Ivory Windsor leather seats if peeps still thought they were durable and easy to keep clean?

I see the Windsor leather is available on the FL2 metropolis as standard in either black or ivory. Is this a leather which will/has stood the test of time? I might buy a FL2 with it and need to reverse it into a garage and get out of the passenger side due to where the doors are. I try to be careful but don't want an easy to damage seat covering. Would I be better to change model and get grained leather?

My HSE Lux leather is compared to my old HSE's Windsor leather

It's been marked on drivers seat like a scratch and the passenger has a little knick in it

All this after a year, my old one didn't have anything near this in 5 years Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Were both the hse and lux windsor leather?
