anyone used Hankook tyres

Having reached 22K its time to consider tyres. I have a set of Vredenstein Wintrac extreme 4's for the winter but am looking at some Hankook tyres for normal use.

My Wifes fiesta TDCi was fitted with Conti's and ride always harsh and tyres noise bad. The contis only lasted 9 k and fitted another set of conti's and gave her a slap and told her to drive more carefully . Well 9 K later tyres worn out again.
Fitted set of Hankook s and 13K later only half worn. Ride vastly improved and tyre noise reduced a good 50-60% so could they make a difference , Just wondered whether someone else has fitted them on an FR2

Had a quote of £468 all in for 4 ! which is very good.

I've just fitted a set of Hankook Dynapro HPs. They get really good reviews and I immediately noticed a drop in noise from the OEM Wranglers. Have only done 1000'k's so far; so far so good.

Hankook Tyres must be a good tyre as they are factory fit on many new Ford cars.

I had Hankooks on my FL1 last year and absolutely hated them.

Hopeless in the wet and no 'feel' when driving. After a really scary snow incident, I changed them after <10,000 miles for 4 Michellins. I could not believe the difference, the grip, the feel and the ability to handle the wet was beyond compare.

I, for one, will never fit Hankooks to a car again.

Sorry for the negativity but I really hated them and didn't feel safe using them.

Cheers

ATHRoss

Old Geezer,
i bought four Nokian WR GR2 just for the winter and now use them all year round.
I've got a set of Mich HP Tour in the garage and havn't noticed any ride difference.
The Nokians seem tailor made for UK weather Thumbs Up Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

18 months ago I was looking around for a set of new tyres and look at Hankooks, can't remember why I didn't go for them did alot read up a the time and ended up getting Kumho's Ecsta STX KL12 got good reports on them.
They are a directional high-performance tyre good in the wet which is handy for the UK, haven't use them in snow yet and still got plenty of life in them 20k on and all for £480 fitted.
As for handling as good as the Goodyears that they replaced but there again I'm not speed king I drive a Land Rover Thumbs Up

Had Hankook Dynapro's on now for a couple of years (alternate with Khumo AT's in the winter), low noise, low wear, can't falt them really.

Thank you Sammy Bow down

Its funny how comments are either very positive or extremely negative. Tyres have progressed from years ago and have to admit that when we fitted hankooks on the fiesta it transformed the car.

If they are quiet on the FR2 that's all I need.I have a winter set to cover harsh conditions.
