Another hour and a half stolen

Took my Freelander into Statstone Hainault for some Warranty work this morning, arrived bang on 8am only to be told that it's not booked in for today, it's tomorrow. I was sure it was today but accepted I must have made the mistake. Never mind I'll bring it back tomorrow, after all it's only a hour and half round trip. Got home and checked my confirmation e-mail and guess what, it was booked in for today. I have just e-mailed their confirmation e-mail back to them and am awaiting a response. Just to add salt to the wound it's the 5th time it's been in for the same fault (loud crack from the nearside dashboard when going over a sharp bump), Drove a 59 plate Corsa with 50,000 mile on the clock the other day, felt as solid as a rock. Rant over, feel much better now.

This thread was more a rattle but it could possibly be the same area?

Hope you get it sorted, there are many threads on here about Stratstones lack of care, maybe you can shop around for a better service.

you should suggest that the dealership starts to send text messages out as reminders, my dealer does and its nice to get a reminder, to bring driving licences etc also

i have mine in my paper diary and icloud diary also to double check

I hope they offer some sort of compensation for your wasted time, rescheduling of tomorrow etc etc Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

They did send an automated text last night at 18.30 saying see you on the 28th, unfortunately because I had already had the e-mail confirming the date and was aware of the booking I didn't look too closely at it and deleted it. although at that time of night who would I have contacted to question the booking date bearing in mind they all go home at 6pm. All I can say is it's a good job these dealer don't charge an exorbitant amount of money for this service.
