That's so sad.
No two situations are the same; I lost a dog this year due to illness. I waited just two days. Then got another pup. Not a replacement at all, never wanted it to be so. I'm still very upset but can still give love and attention and make another animal feel loved and wanted. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
