Osram Nightbreaker +'s. Noticeably brighter on mine, & the +'s are supposed to be longer lasting. Poke it, Poke it, make it do it again!!

Went to Halfords today. Later FL2s have H11s for dipped beam and H7s for main beam. Land Rover have even been kind enough to inscribe this information on the headlight lenses.

Been out for the evening. The new bulbs are definitely an improvement, but I had hoped for a blue/white hue which is not apparent. 2013 RR Evoque Pure Tech

what have you got projectors or reflectors ? When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car |

Halogen lamps work better with reflector units, Mercedes have reverted to reflector units with Halogen lamps, the projector type are simply not suited for use with halogen lamps due to the filament size and focal point of the lens, most of the light is lost inside the housing and doesn't come out through the lens.

Thanks Taz. I am not too well versed on the different types of lighting. Is HID different from xenon?

If you can find HID units, they have self levelling built in.

Only Freelanders fitted with Xenon and Adaptive Xenon headlights have built in self levelling, all other models have manual headlight levelling. |
