This problem is hard to describe so bear with me here. Basically, when cornering more vigorously, it sounds like numerous small plastic items or perhaps metal items are sliding/rattling from one side of the car to the other. It sounds as if it is coming from underneath the seats somewhere.

I checked the following to rule out stuff hiding in various places:

Front and rear foot wells - Nothing
Underneath the front seats - All solid, nothing lose, Sat Nav DVD machine all ok
All door pockets - Nothing
Magazine pockets - Nothing
Underneath rear seats - Lifted the cushion forward but no sign of anything
Underneath the spare wheel in the boot - Nothing
Looked underneath the car - No signs of anything loose

It only happens when the cornering forces are stronger so I just wondered if the more technically/mechanically minded folk on here could offer an opinion or perhaps someone else has come across this? 60 plate SD4 XS, Stornoway Grey, Arm rest pack

Could be the odd pebble again sitting on the suspension arm or whatever underneath??

have you checked the glovebox?

I had a similar thing once where I dropped some change under the drivers seat and a couple of the coins managed to get under the carpet - could never get the sods out and now and again I would hear them slide around - I should have got a Yorkshireman in - they would have got em out for me.
