I off-roaded a lot in Freelander 1s and certainly pushed them to their limits. With some good mechanical engineering and a big hole in your bumper you could mate a winch to the Freelander, we lifted Fl1s by 50mm (one did 60-70mm) using strut top spacers that would work in a Fl2. Low box is just good driving in a manual or an auto - not ideal solutions but a work round |
