United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Sumatra Black
Sunroof

Now I appreciate that this is going to be a silly question but it’s bugging me, recently a piece of the left roof rail sheered off and fell inside the car I don’t know how or why it just did, according to my dealer its £800.00 to fit a complete new sunroof for certain I dont need a new sun roof but that does not matter and I am not really bothered as you can hardly see this missing chunk.

Now my question is should the sun roof open fully and the sun roof slide all the way back over the 2nd glass fixed sun roof or should it overhang into the car by 6” ?

Odly I have never noticed after owning this vehicle for 3 years but I just have a feeling this is not right.

Sensible answers only please.

Thanks for the quick reply.

The gallery provides info that the sunroof can open at a max of 23cm or 9" so would appear I do not have a problem (mine opens at 28cm or 11" slightly more? ) so I assume the FL2 sun roof does not open fully, strange that I was under the impression it did.

no it only open slightly, just enough for my son to put his head up through it

I never really open it anyway, prefer the coldness of the aircon Laughing Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
