Nope I was on my way to recce the Corrie Yarrick Pass for a potential outing with some friends in a few weeks time. How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?

Same experience as Nicam, I always measure full to full and the computer is surprisingly accurate. 600 miles is a good aiming point, I've achieved it a number of times (though the norm is 500+), best ever was recent 632 miles with computer still showing 15 miles range. Most of my motoring is 150 - 300 mile trips which helps, as does a sensitive right foot! Also now with mileage sitting on the top side of 33k then the motor is certainly run in.... (BTW - Tyres are doing OK too, dealer commented on them at 30k service) |

Just looked today 808 miles on clock, av speed 31mph av eco 31 mpg. I did reset the computer on delivery to clear the system so the actual delivery and pdi process didn't drag the figure down unfairly. Other cars I have owned have steadily improved the mpg figure as the engine loosens up over the first few 1000s of miles. |

Another 600 mile tank. I always fill right up, so my measurements are full to full. Just filled up this evening at 613 miles (24 miles remaining) 67 litres which is 41.6 mpg, not too bad!!! |

Is it sick to laugh when my average consumption is 18 l/100km (15.7 mpg)? 
That's what stop-start traffic and driving everywhere on commandshift will do in the i6!!! But then again it does only cost about 16 quid to fill up

No its not it was 31 or so today
Was speaking to my parents yesterday and they said it was snowing on them in Lincs which was such a contrast to here as I was sweating out on my balcony at the time

I believe that if fuel is 'to brim', i.e, top of filler pipe, this could give a false reading for calculating mpg as the fuel guage measures what is maximum in tank. Therefore average mph would appear to be more due to additional unregistered fuel in filler pipe! Another point is that Landrover recommend that 2000 revs should be max in any gear. At 70 mph in 6th gear = 2000rpm and I assume that calculated fuel consumption could relate to this. Going at 85 mph would obviously return lower mpg!  Freelander 2 - SE

Are you resetting the Ave MPG display every time you fill-up............................... if not then what is displayed is the TOTAL average MPG. You have to hold in the reset button until you see a line of dashes on the display. How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?

Hi there, yes its me, been a while I know. Went through an insane spell at work last Nov-Dec, lost track of a few forums I take part in. Car is still fun to drive but frustration is setting in on the ownership experience. Car is 14 months old 34k miles on the clock and still having problems with radio. Received a cracking call from the dealer last week 'explaining my problem' .... (not) Radio works OK on the move but about 7 out 10 times when I start the engine up the radio looses it tuning, have to fart around with presets to get it back on. Just been told I have a digital radio and they are sensitive to tuning. What utter b0ll0cks! I've got a GS model with standard base audio fit. Oh that I did have a digital DAB radio. Was told the work around was to always press the preset in use before I turn the engine off (yes ... everytime I switch the engine off!). Come on LandRover give me break that's just bull and you know it. It's a bloody insult to be told that let alone be expected to beleive it. But in the interests of fairness I should give LR credit for returning a music CD that got lost when they changed the radio/CD head unit, the radio was changed early August last year, got the CD back last week!!! |

Once a week I travel to Lincoln and when car is started have to press the radio preset to get the station back. As this does not happen at home I just assumed it was something like a weak signal, never considered it might be a fault perhaps I should look in to it. |
