FL2 Electronics

Am looking at a FL2 in the near future. Likely to be a 57-59 HSE. Can anyone tell me if they have,

- iPod connection / HDD connection
- colour sat nav (like D3 and RRS)
- Reverse camera

I will have more questions I am sure Whistle

Thanks in advance

France 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Narvik Black

There is no iPod/HDD connection but there is an "Auxiliary In" socket which most of use for the iPod. If you do a search on this site you will find people have put in their own iPod connection and have posted instructions on how to do it.

Yes there is colour Sat Nav on the HSE

There is no reversing camera but the HSE has front and rear parking sensors. John

Thanks for info. I had assumed as much but seem to remember someone fitting a panasonic reversing camera and linking to the screen in a D3....not that it matters at this stage. Shame about ipod connection, I did see on net that a firm will supply a loom and connection for around £120 but I don't think it's fully integrated. Still looking, but not leaving the Oval just yet

England 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Baltic Blue

There is an Ipod connectivity kit for Freelander 2.

Audio Connectivity System

Part No: VPLFE0002

Link lead installation to integrate iPod Nano Gen 1, 2 and 3, iPod Video 30 + 60 + 80Gb, Classic, iPhone and iTouch into the vehicle audio speaker system, using the steering wheel controls (where fitted) for track selection and volume. In addition the link lead also acts as a charger for your iPod device. iPod not included.

iPod is a trademark of Apple, Inc., registered in the US and other countries. iPod link lead also available separately Part No: VPLAE0003

Not sure of the current price.

There are threads on here about fitting reversing cameras to a Freelander 2 - alternatively the new MY13 Freelander 2 will come with all the things you're looking for but will be a bit outside your current price range for a while.

Careful on the I pod connections.....

When I bought my SD4 HSE (March 2011) I asked for the I pod connection pack. This could not be fitted becasue the FL2 BCM is not compatible. Its listed as an accessory, but can't be fitted unless specced at build. It cannot be retro fitted. I got my money back having paid for it at the time of buying. The car was already at the dealer when I bought it, having been bought by them for stock, hence unable to specify at build.
