Wheel Arch Rubbers

Just bought a full set of wheel arch rubbers from Duckworths as mine were well over due a replacement.

Dose anyone know when I come to fit them do you simply "push" them into place or is it worth trying to seal them with silicone or some other sealant to stop the metal inside bubbling again?

Mine is needing this done too, how much did it cost you?

I sealed the ends where the inner metal is visible with black silicone sealant in the vague hope of them lasting a little longer Smile 2002 Honda VFR800

Think they were around the £40 mark for the set when I bought mine, just walked into the dealer and they had them in stock.

You'd have thought being where they are the inners would be stainless steel so dont corrode?
Wonder if the Evoque still has the same poor design?

Did you simply remove the old rubbers and "push fit" the new into place or is it worth taking the arch liners out and giving inside a good clean and rub down before fitting the new rubbers?
