Obviously I lived a very sheltered life as I thought the fashionista wore one piece latex with opportune "cut-outs" in the bedroom

I now realise the very thing I would punt to the top of the Room 101 list... people who go on and on, complaining endlessly to people like me who don't give a f k... but DON'T DO A BL DY THING ABOUT IT!!!

Prime example. My mother-in-law...typical conversation pieces...

nowt wrong with a wax jacket , levis and 'cappers ( for the original Steve McQueen look ) as long as you are upright and lucky

on the other hand when perchance you encouter a diesel slick as you tip into a roundabout sliding on 1.5mm of departed bovine (or even kangaroo if you have a deep wallet) whether one or two piece is a whole lot better experience than sliding along on your arse and elbows.... I once "first aided" a jean clad bloke on the slip road of the M65 after seeing him deck-out in such a manner at around 60mph and what was left of his arse looked like dog meat ( thank god he had spent a few hundred quid on a premium Arai helmet) , luckily he was in shock until the ambulance came. I remember my first (and only) one piece leather suit. It was black and bespoke by BKS. I went to Two Wheels in Edinburgh to get measured up. They had no changing rooms and I had to stand in my pants in the middle of the shop to get measured up. That started a career in public nudity that persists to this day.
I remember the day they eventually arrived. They were a bit tight in places, in particular, around the ankles. I got them on ok though. Being tall and skinny in a black suit made me look like the stick of liquorice from a sherbert fountain.
Anyway, it was getting them off again that proved to be difficult. I got them as far as my ankles where they stuck fast. I rolled about trying to lever them off, slowly losing strength and grip until all I could do was lie there exhausted. I nearly had to phone for help. Thank goodness I didn't. Anyone coming in the door would have thought I was a ravaged gimp.
Well worth it later though. As I slid down a road I was impressed at how comfortable experience it was.
They might not be practical (eg. you need a poo when you're out and about) but they're still the safest thing you can wear surely.

As for smoking, I agree. A filthy horrid thing indeed. But what else are you meant to do on fag stops? Huh?
