2008 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Santorini Black

Battle against the swirls, Black paint

Spent 3 days to clay, machine polish and wax my car a couple of months ago. Did try a wrap, but it didn't look right on Black, holograms.

So I bought a CarPro mitt and a new drying towel (below pic). Washed the car today and was very careful. Jetwash, loads of buckets and grit guards. Washed it with gentle hand pressure, rinse mitt, then increase hand pressure. Took about 3 hours as the car was quite dirty.

Inspected the paint afterwards and it's still swirl free
Then it p ed down. Typical

Of course you could always wear the mitt for a Boris impersonation :rolllaugh:

Now I've looked at my post again, I can understand why you thought it hadn't been washed
I took one with flash as it shows up swirls.

Is yours Santorini? Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Looking Good Greg just treated mine with some Werstat Prime and Acrylic Jett, needs a wash though, been all over this week but somefoam and a blast of the prsure wash will have it looking all clean and sparkly again
