If the AA warranty is anything like the "breakdown insurance" where they pay up to £500 to the cost of breakdown repairs then you are wasting you time.

egr valve is not part of the exhaust system its bolted to the inlet manifold and takes a certain amount of gases from the exhaust front pipe fight your corner and ask to speak to somebody higher up who knows something about engines get some separate advice from a dealer don't be fobbed off by some office clerk reading from a sheet this valve is part of the emission system and does not contribute in any way of silencing exhaust noise rainy-city
