LR in common with several manufacturers lease cars to the rental companies.
So you may by an "ex LR fleet car" and it's actually an ex-rental that has been trashed to within an inch of it's life from cold from new, by an unsympathetic renter.

After having a "hard" life in Mongolia and being rebuilt before I purchased it three years ago the only issue I have had is a faulty fuel sender unit that was replaced under warranty.

Still gets used to it's full potential off-road and has never let me down.

Keep thinking about replacing my other F2 but wish LR would paint some in more exciting colours - like Tangiers! mole
