United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Santorini Black

electric handbrakes are fine on an Auto, as you never use the thing. well occasionally just to keep it working. might frustrate on a manual however depending on its cleverness or lack of.

If they had moved the TR controls to the dash they could have installed an extra cubby in the handbrake area.

nice enough Thumbs Up however I think we all agree a little overdue, I couldnt bring myself to buy a new fl2 last year and have the same dash as before. Infact the dated dash nearly put me off when buying my fl2 in 2008, having driven Audis and VW's before then.
Soon forgiven however as the rest off the car compensated. At work

All nice updates and well overdue, it's a shame the dash is still made from lots of bits and will therefore creak, rather than the one piece dash that all of the competition fit. I wonder if paying over £30,000 will get you a fully adjustable seat as well, although if you expect to be able to rest your arms that will cost extra.

guessing the HSE Lux will be in £42k mark, as i built the current version to similar spec to mine and that was just below £41k

I like it! Higher spec across the board also... Right thing to do in my opinion.

Actually, looking at this pic of the dash in particular;

http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/moscow-m...reelander#

It's clear that every piece of plastic is the same, with just some changes to the dash graphics, stereo controls and wheel. Outside its led lights and a slight grill change. It looks a little smarter but the car itself is not much of an upgrade, which is good news for those of us that have just bought one! 2012 DISCOVERY 4 GS AUTO ORKNEY GREY

they were never going to do anything to the bodywork at this time, as the new version isn't due for a few more years, it was the interior that needed it badly and it looks to have worked, the fancy lights and anything else outside is a bonus in my opinion

I wonder what bits from the new one could be transferred over to the older ones... would be interesting to see. I like the new media system, and the reversing camera, and those lights... just not the thought of shelling out for a new one Big Cry
